Full Membership

Membership applications for membership of AusPATH are invited from individuals able to demonstrate a relevant professional qualification in any of the following disciplines:

  • Allied Health
  • Medicine
  • Law
  • Nursing
  • Research and Academia
  • Policy

Applicants must demonstrate experience and background in any of the disciplines listed above that contributes to the health, rights or well-being of trans (binary and non-binary) people.

Major advantages of membership include service provider listing, seminars, voting rights, access to the International Journal for Transgender Health, and access to education, research, and resources. Members also receive reduced fees for the biennial conference.

Full Membership – Trans Professionals (binary and non-binary)

Applications for membership of AusPATH are invited from trans professionals (binary and non-binary) who are eligible for full membership but face financial barriers in paying the full annual fee (usually $220).

Applicants must satisfy the criteria for full membership and provide a short narrative about these financial barriers, which will be kept strictly confidential.

Associate Membership

The constitution of AusPATH includes the category of Associate Membership. This category opens membership to those who do not meet criteria for Full Membership.

AusPATH welcomes applications from community members and others who share the goals, aims and values of AusPATH. Associate Members share all of the privileges of Full Membership, but without voting rights or provider listing.

Associate (Student) Membership

Associate (Student) Membership is available for people enrolled as a full time students in a university or equivalent course/degree, and who are not currently working as professionals, who share the goals, aims, and values of AusPATH.

Student Members share all of the privileges of membership, but without voting rights or provider listing.
